Waco, Texas is a vibrant city with a rich blend of history, culture, and natural beauty. Here are some must-see places that showcase the unique charm of Waco:

Cameron Park

2601 N University Parks Dr, Waco, TX

Located near downtown Waco, Cameron Park is a 416-acre oasis with towering trees, two rivers, breathtaking cliffs, playgrounds and a multi-use National Recreation Trail System. 

Waco Suspension Bridge

101 N University Parks Dr, Waco, TX

The Waco Suspension Bridge is the oldest Suspension Bridge still standing in Texas. Built it 1870, it was the first bridge across the Brazos River. This stunning bridge was built with cables supplied from John Roebling's firm, which built the Brooklyn Bridge. Today, it is a pedestrian-only bridge and is a wonderful place to watch the river roll by.

Brazos Park East

3516 N M.L.K. Jr Blvd, Waco, TX

This park winds next to the Brazos River. There are beautiful views of the river and limestone cliffs across the river. Plenty of picnic tables and places to hang out.

Airport Beach Park (ask for a drive thru pass)

4600 Skeet Eason Rd, Waco, TX

Airport Park is on the northern banks of Waco Lake, near the dam. Beautiful to drive thru at sunset to see lots of deer and Lake Waco. When you check in at the gatehouse ask for a drive thru pass and let them know you are just driving thru to see the Lake. 

Woodway Park

Woodway Park actually consists of 3 separate entrances or parks at the very end of Estates Drive. The second entrance gets you the best views perfect to see the lake at sunset! 

Carleen Bright Arboretum

1 Pavilion Way.

Weekday parking available at the Pavilion parking lot located at 1 Pavilion Way. 

The Carleen Bright Arboretum extends over 16 acres that are home to lovely botanical gardens. 

Magnolia Market at The Silos

601 Webster Ave, Waco, TX

Magnolia Market, home to all things Chip and Joanna Gaines. Shop, eat, live, laugh, and love to your hearts content. 

The Cottonland Castle

3300 Austin Ave, Waco, TX

As seen on Fixer Upper: The Castle. This 1900's castle was renovated by Chip and Joanna Gaines in the summer of 2022. 

The Alico Building

425 Austin Ave, Waco, TX

The ALICO building has stood for over a century, remaining a successful combination of old and “new.” Most importantly, it continues to serve as Waco’s most prominent downtown landmark.

Cafe Homestead serves fresh, natural food true to its setting at Homestead Heritage, a traditional farming community. One of Waco's most-loved restaurants newly rebuilt after losing its original location to a fire. 

George’s restaurant and bar

Take a break from your ride and enjoy a satisfying meal at George's Restaurant. Known for their juicy burgers, hand-cut fries, and refreshing cocktails, George's offers a relaxed atmosphere and a diverse menu that caters to all tastes.

Moroso Italian Ristorante

 A cozy pizzeria specializing in wood-fired pizzas with unique toppings and thin crusts. They also have a selection of wine, cocktails, salads, antipasti, and desserts.
